Welcome to the Ripley Convention & Visitors Bureau website and online welcome center.
Situated within 30 minutes of Parkersburg and the capitol city of Charleston on I-77, and just a few hours from major metropolitan areas, Ripley provides well-known fairs and festivals, kayaking, fishing, camping, great hotels, restaurants, and small businesses featuring local artisans. Throughout the surrounding areas you'll find something for everyone to enjoy. After a great day of events and activities, we have a number of excellent lodging options for you and we hope you'll feel at home away from home.
Ripley is nationally known for hosting the USA’s Largest Small Town Independence Day Celebration and the Mountain State Art & Craft Fair. We're also home to the Alpine Theater where local and national talent appear each month, and the facility is a registered historic landmark.
We can't forget our West Virginia Chocolate Festival. It's so good we have one in the spring and another in the fall.
