Small Town, Big Fun
We may be tiny to some, but we're mighty in fun! Ripley prides itself on providing numerous events and activities for members of our community, our youth, visitors, and conference attendees. Here's a list of festivals that take place each year.
Presidents, celebrities, and VIP's of all kinds have attended the Independence Day Events in Ripley, West Virginia. Ripley hosts the USA’s Largest Small Town Independence Day Celebration. The multi-day event includes the Firecracker 2-Mile, free concerts, grand parade, carnival, pageants, fireworks and much more. Jackson County Junior Fair
One of the largest county fairs in West Virginia, the week-long event is scheduled at the fairgrounds, 7 miles west of Ripley. The fair features concerts, a carnival, motor sports and much more. See http://www.JacksonCountyJrFair.org for details and information.
Mountain State Art & Craft Fair
The Mountain State Art & Craft Fair is an Appalachian experience for all ages. 61 years strong, mark your calendars to attend and enjoy the art, food, music and culture. The three-day fair has called Cedar Lakes Conference Center home since 1963.
West Virginia Chocolate Festival
Entering its 15th year, the WV Chocolate Festival offers tasty treats and fun for all. It includes a parade through downtown Ripley leading to the event venue. Handmade chocolates are offered from small businesses from across the region attend.
Veterans Day
A very special occasion in the community, we honor our veterans with the Military Honor March, which includes poster-sized photos of veterans from the Civil War through the current era. A ceremony takes place following the parade.
